The School of Business at SIUE is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) and is one of only 2% of business colleges and universities worldwide to hold dual accreditation for business and accounting. The School has been accredited since 1975. The next AACSB re-accreditation visit is scheduled for 2027.

In 2013, NCATE merged with the Teacher Education Accreditation Council to form the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The SIUE School of Education, Health and Human Behavior meets rigorous national standards for educator preparation set by CAEP.

SIUE is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

The Master of Public Health at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
