What do you want students to learn in these courses? What is the expected learning outcome?
The purpose of this class is to understand the role of human resource management in an organization. As MBA students, you are being trained to manage employees on a daily basis. Many of the activities previously performed by the Human Resources department are now being performed by managers, i.e., YOU! It is important that you understand how to perform these activities and also understand how to work with HR and your top management team to ensure workers are providing the organization with a competitive advantage. Thus, the focus of this class is not to train future HR Managers, but to help you develop skills for managing employees.
Why did you start teaching?
I started teaching out of a passion I have for helping others. I enjoy educating, developing and watching students grow as they progress through their tenure at our school.
