What do you want students to learn in these courses? What is the expected learning outcome?
Through this course I want students to have a better understanding of why they do what they do in the classroom. I want them to reflect on their teaching practices to see where changes might be helpful. They will be exposed to a lot of different visual learning strategies and try one of them out with their classroom to see the difference they can make.
Why did you start teaching?
I started teaching to be the positive influence that our children need. I want to attempt to make a difference in their lives and let them know there will always be someone in their corner rooting them on. I know I cannot help all students, but even if I help two or three that makes my heart feel good.
