  6. Engage in personal learning and development. School leaders should actively participate in continuous professional development to nurture the essential skills required to lead and support their students, staff and families.
  7. Strategize change and continuous improvement. Principals should employ various data sources to recognize achievements and obstacles in pursuing the school’s mission and vision.
  8. Cultivate community care and engagement. Culturally responsive school leaders should foster an all-encompassing and compassionate school culture that nurtures a sense of belonging among students, families and staff.
