In this accelerated, online business master's program, you will study business intelligence and analytics, marketing research, and more. The dynamic curriculum includes two embedded capstone courses covering practical application of strategic management and business analytics.

Core course work gives you a basis of foundational skills with advanced applications. You will study decision-making, accounting, information systems and technology, managerial economics, corporate finance, quantitative analysis, government policy, and more.
Within our in-depth electives, you will examine business analytics concepts to support data-driven decision-making, along with SAP-based business intelligence to use and assess data, determine data needs, and generate and process reports. You may also tailor your learning to your professional goals by choosing from electives that further develop your knowledge of marketing research, marketing, economics, financial investments, database programming and more.

What are the admission requirements for SIUE's MBA in Business Analytics?
Admission to the online master’s in business analytics program is based on a variety of factors including undergraduate grade point average (GPA), professional resume and previous work in other graduate programs.

Program application materials may be uploaded during the application process, but official transcripts must be sent directly from the school attended, and test scores must be verifiable with the appropriate testing service. Admission Criteria:
- Successful completion of a bachelor's degree prior to enrollment
- Applicants should have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.50 (on a 4-point scale) in undergraduate coursework and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4-point scale) in any graduate coursework
- Applicants with a 2.75 undergraduate cumulative GPA (on a 4-point scale) or higher will be considered more competitive for program admission. Applicants with a cumulative undergraduate GPA below 2.75 (on a 4-point scale) but at or above a 2.50 (on a 4-point scale) will be considered through a holistic review. The program may consider grade trends, recency of coursework, prior graduate work, professional experience, quantitative preparation, certifications, and other evidence of readiness for graduate study.

Students who are admitted to and pursuing a PharmD at SIUE and who wish to apply to the MBA program at SIUE may submit an application to the Graduate School for review once they have earned the equivalent of 106 semester hours. A currently enrolled SIUE PharmD student, upon approval of the MBA program director, will be allowed to enroll in a maximum total of six credits of graduate-level business coursework until the student has earned the equivalent of 124 semester hours, at which time the student would be allowed to enroll in further courses toward the MBA.
Students who were not admitted may appeal. These appeals are handled by the MBA program director. Students seeking an exception are required to provide the program director with evidence supporting the reason such an exception should be granted. The program director's decision regarding the appeal is final.

What courses are included in SIUE's MBA in Business Analytics?
The MBA with a Business Analytics Specialization online curriculum is comprised of 36 credit hours, including 24 credit hours of MBA core courses and 12 credit hours of electives.
To earn your MBA with a Business Analytics Specialization online, you must complete CMIS 566 and CMIS 567. Then, choose two of the following electives: CMIS 527, CMIS 562, CMIS 563, or MKTG 563.
